voters of Nevada changed the state's birthday a few years ago, celebrating as a three day weekend on the
last weekend in October.
Festivities celebrating Nevada Day are planned all weekend, starting on Friday, with some lasting right
through to October 31.
Every year, more events come around during Nevada Day weekend parade on Carson Street in
downtown Carson City (the state capital of NV), with ;
carnival, historic home tours, the 1864 Grand Ball, community concerts,
floats, marching bands and many more fun activities.
